Biggest implications of working from home
Working from home can certainly have some large benefits to work life balance, mental health and family life, there is no doubting that.
But before jumping into it, there are a couple of things to consider.
There are some companies that are offering completely remote jobs and this is perfect for people in certain situations but be wary of jumping straight into it without considering the following:
- Can you distance your work life and your home life
- Do you have a set space for work that won’t encroach into your home
- How is your email tone, do you need to take a course in how to convey your true meaning through words
- Are you as likely to get the promotion over someone who works in the office
There is the travel cost saving and the time saving, but these come at a cost which shouldn’t be forgotten.
